A beautiful, historic home saved. An 1860 Second Empire style home in Janesville is moved thanks to the efforts of the City of Janesville, Fred Harmon, and our company. The house was the last of 12 homes that have to go to make room for the new central fire station; the others had been demolished. The house boasts many of its original materials- from the graceful arched dormers, bracketed cornices beneath the mansard roof, elaborate columned window surrounds and decorated porch columns. Moving and helping to preserve historic buildings is one of our business's most fulfilling accomplishments. News article and video can be found here.
